TL;DR

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; based at hirify.global's global headquarters

Base salary: $145,000–$210,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Develop PCBA requirements in collaboration with engineers from other disciplines.
  • Capture schematics and create complex PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
  • Perform power, tolerance, reliability, and other circuit analyses.
  • Conduct PCBA design verification and system integration testing.
  • Support manufacturing and production activities as needed.
  • Participate in spacecraft hardware development from requirements definition through design, prototyping, fabrication, testing, and production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or another engineering discipline.
  • 8+ years of electrical hardware design experience, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Strong background in analog electronics design.
  • Proficiency with SPICE and Excel for circuit analysis.
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and complex PCB layout.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements; U.S. export-control rules may also require qualifying citizenship, permanent residence, refugee/asylee status, or applicable government authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Master's or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or another engineering discipline.
  • Experience with electronic laboratory equipment, space-environment design, radiation mitigation, or high-reliability aerospace applications.
  • Experience with rigid-flex PCBs and electromechanical design.
  • Experience with FPGA design and embedded software development for ARM processors.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
