TL;DR
Legal Counsel, EMEA (SaaS/Commercial Technology): Leading customer and partner negotiations for SaaS agreements, software licensing, DPAs, security terms, and other commercial documents across EMEA and the United States with an accent on practical risk management, privacy, security, and intellectual property. Focus on independently managing complex negotiations, advising Sales and cross-functional teams, and scaling contracting processes in a distributed international organization.
Location: Remote in Ireland, with occasional travel to Dublin and other Tines locations. Authorization to work in Ireland is required.

What you will do
- Lead negotiations for SaaS agreements, software licenses, DPAs, security terms, SOWs, NDAs, and related customer contracts across EMEA and the United States.
- Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Customer Success, Partnerships, Finance, Security, Product, and other teams from initial review through signature.
- Provide practical, risk-based advice on liability, indemnification, intellectual property, privacy, security, and service commitments.
- Review and negotiate reseller, referral, integration, technology alliance, and other partner agreements.
- Develop templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and Sales enablement materials.
- Improve and scale contracting processes as the global sales organization grows.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant legal experience, including 3–5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Qualification as a solicitor or lawyer in Ireland, England and Wales, or another relevant EU jurisdiction.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial technology agreements and supporting Sales teams directly.
- Strong understanding of SaaS and software transaction issues, with excellent commercial judgment and a pragmatic approach.
- Ability to manage multiple negotiations, communicate clearly, and operate autonomously in a distributed international organization.
- Authorization to work in Ireland.
Nice to have
- In-house experience at a SaaS, software, cybersecurity, or other technology company.
- Experience supporting commercial teams across EMEA and the United States.
- Experience with self-hosted software, regulated customers, or complex security requirements.
- Practical knowledge of GDPR and international data transfers.
- Familiarity with AI products and related commercial, privacy, and intellectual property issues.
