Manager, Inventory & Cost Accounting

hirify.global is localizing the global battery supply chain through battery recovery, reuse, recycling, energy storage, and production of battery materials in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities for inventory and cost of goods sold, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Own inventory transaction discipline for receipts, consumption, scrap, and adjustments, and report process performance to business leadership.
• Oversee inventory valuation and excess, obsolete, and lower-of-cost-or-market reserve analyses.
• Manage inventory accounting for battery energy storage systems, including component and module costing and valuation of completed systems.
• Partner with Operations and FP&A on cost models, product margin analysis, and production analysis.
• Lead, coach, and develop cost accountants and analysts while improving internal controls, ERP systems, and costing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience leading or supervising others.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP for inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP and costing systems such as D365 or Oracle, plus advanced Excel skills with large data sets.
• Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• CPA or CMA certification.
