Senior Cost Accountant (Manufacturing)

Salary: $100,000–$132,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Analyze purchase price, manufacturing, and overhead absorption variances, investigate root causes, and coordinate resolutions.
• Maintain bill of materials, routing, and product cost data in the ERP system in partnership with Engineering and Operations.
• Own inventory valuation and reconciliations for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods under GAAP.
• Manage customer-held and supplier-held consignment accounting, schedules, transfers, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Co-manage month-end close, prepare journal entries and management reports, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Partner with FP&A, Supply Chain, Legal, Engineering, Operations, and Accounting on forecasts, supplier costs, new product introductions, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with contract manufacturing and consignment inventory accounting in a manufacturing or hardware environment.
• Experience with GAAP, accruals, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships and explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance partners.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, initiative, adaptability, and ability to work with limited supervision.

Nice to have

• Progressive cost accounting experience in manufacturing or hardware.
• Public accounting experience.
• Experience with FloQast, BlackLine, or Boomi.
• CPA qualification.
