Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Hauppauge, New York, United States — onsite

Salary: $83,800–$90,000 per year plus bonus

What you will do

• Develop, apply, and refine quality standards, inspection criteria, and procedures for receiving, in-process, and final product evaluation.
• Analyze production data and nonconformances, determine dispositions, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to inspection and production teams, interpret specifications, and resolve quality issues.
• Address quality concerns with customers, vendors, and internal departments; participate in audits and prepare product assurance documentation.
• Identify quality trends and support continuous improvement of standards, test methods, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 4–6+ years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing quality support.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and regulatory standards such as GLP, GMP, ISO, and Six Sigma.
• Experience analyzing production data, evaluating nonconformances, and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong quality documentation, analytical, problem-solving, technical interpretation, and communication skills.
• Ability to support audits and collaborate with production, inspection, customers, and vendors in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
