Quality Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $94,700–$126,300 per year

What you will do

• Administer and facilitate the AS9100 and FAA-certified quality management system.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, including 14 CFR Part 145 and Part 21.
• Plan and facilitate internal, external, and third-party audits, analyze findings, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage controlled quality documents, workflows, approvals, training, distribution, and regulatory updates.
• Drive root cause, corrective, and preventive action processes, including RCCA, 8D, and 5 Whys.
• Partner with Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Customer Service on quality issues, metrics, and nonconformances.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering, or a technical equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience implementing and maintaining an AS9100 QMS across manufacturing and product development.
• Experience with quality processes and documentation systems; defense industry experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Agile, SAP, SharePoint Online, Office 365, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• AS9100 Lead Auditor, AATT, or American Society for Quality certification is preferred.
