Commodity Market Analyst

Location: London (Hybrid)

Compensation: £65,000 – £85,000 per year + Equity + Bonus

What you will do

• Own the monthly market insight papers, reviewing and signing off on sentiment across the dataset portfolio.
• Maintain the market voice to ensure publications resonate with physical market traders and buyers.
• Proactively monitor commodity markets, flagging significant events like weather or crop estimates.
• Represent hirify.global externally by building relationships with analysts and speaking at industry events.
• Partner with Product Marketing to turn market views into newsletters, bulletins, and campaigns.
• Collaborate with the Science & AI team to ensure published views are grounded in data models.

Requirements

• Deep, practical knowledge of commodity markets, including price movements and supply/demand dynamics.
• Strong editorial judgement with the ability to craft clear, professional points of view.
• Experience writing for the physical market with an understanding of trader and buyer perspectives.
• Ability to represent analysis externally through briefings, commentary, or industry events.
• Must be based in London or able to work in a hybrid capacity from the London office.

Nice to have

• Experience at a price-reporting agency, commodity desk, or market publication.
• Track record of external presence, such as quoted commentary or conference speaking.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted drafting and research workflows.
