Maintenance Engineer

What you will do

• Drive maintenance process improvements supporting quality, service, and cost objectives.
• Interpret equipment and operations data to prioritize reliability efforts and maintain project scorecards.
• Plan, execute, and manage efficiency improvement projects.
• Develop preventive maintenance tasks, work plans, and process controls to reduce unplanned equipment failures.
• Provide hands-on equipment setup and troubleshooting using technical documentation, measurement tools, specialty gauges, and high-speed filming.
• Train engineering and operations teams, support technology transfers and equipment design reviews, and provide backup for the Engineering Maintenance Manager, including possible off-shift support.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience working directly with automated manufacturing equipment.
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating automated production equipment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analytics.
• Experience applying problem-solving methodologies such as A3, PDCA, or DMAIC.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment with strong process discipline and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain cGMP-compliant operations and work within FDA guidelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with SOLIDWORKS or AutoCAD.
• Technical knowledge of assembly methods, pneumatic actuators, servo motors, sensors, robotics, HMIs, and machine automation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Experience in regulated industries, especially consumable products, and familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA 820 regulations.
• English and Malay fluency, strong communication skills, and technical curiosity.
