Reconciliation & Reporting Process Owner (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, build, and continuously improve end-to-end reconciliation processes across SEPA, SWIFT, and card payment flows.
• Extend reconciliation capabilities to investment and portfolio data, working with external data providers when needed.
• Build and automate vendor and regulatory reporting and ensure reports reconcile with the underlying datasets.
• Design source-level data quality validations and automate repetitive reconciliation steps using internal tools, scripts, or external platforms.
• Build dashboards for monitoring breaks, aging items, process health, and operational reporting.
• Own process improvements, act as the subject-matter expert, and independently take solutions from initial problem definition to delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of direct experience in reconciliation, payments operations, or closely related financial operations.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing queries.
• Hands-on experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Databricks, Metabase, Tableau, or similar.
• Experience working in a regulated financial institution, such as a bank, EMI, or payments institution.
• Ability to decompose manual workflows into automated processes, work autonomously, and communicate technical and numerical concepts to Finance and other stakeholders.
• Comfort using AI tools to accelerate automation, reporting, and process improvements.

Nice to have

• Investment or portfolio reconciliation experience or exposure to Clearwater, Advent/SS&C, or similar platforms.
• Automation experience with Python or similar scripting languages.
• Experience integrating external reconciliation or data providers.
• Mutual fund or collective investment scheme back-office experience.
• Experience reconciling positions, valuations, and P&L against external asset managers or fund administrators.
