Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise Build (AI)

Location: Menlo Park, California, United States; in-person attendance is expected at least 3 days per week.

Base pay: $166,000–$195,000 USD in Zone 1; $147,000–$172,000 USD in Zone 2; $130,000–$152,000 USD in Zone 3.

What you will do

• Assess AI-generated prototypes and decide whether to harden, rebuild, or redirect them.
• Design, build, and ship secure, reliable enterprise services on cloud platforms.
• Use agentic coding tools and build MCP servers, sub-agents, and agent skills when appropriate.
• Partner with Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance teams to translate workflows into adopted software.
• Deliver operational handoffs including runbooks, evaluations, and dashboards.
• Establish reusable platform patterns and review AI-generated code to production-quality standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend or full-stack systems.
• Experience delivering ambiguous projects independently from initial scope through production.
• Strong cloud experience, preferably GCP, including containerized services, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and serverless systems.
• Experience building LLM-powered applications or agentic workflows and productionizing AI-generated code.
• Strong product judgment and communication skills with non-engineering stakeholders.
• Experience in regulated industries, particularly finance or fintech, is strongly preferred.
