Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise Build (AI)

Location: Menlo Park, California office; in-person attendance is expected at least 3 days per week. Compensation zones also include New York, Bellevue, Washington, Denver, Westlake, Chicago, Lake Mary, Clearwater, and Gainesville.

Base pay: $166,000–$195,000 USD in Zone 1; $147,000–$172,000 USD in Zone 2; $130,000–$152,000 USD in Zone 3. Additional bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits are available.

What you will do

• Assess AI-built prototypes and decide whether to harden, rebuild, redirect, or take them into production.
• Design, build, and ship secure, reliable backend and full-stack services on enterprise platforms.
• Use agentic coding tools and build MCP servers, sub-agents, and agent skills when appropriate.
• Work directly with Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance partners to translate workflows into adopted software.
• Deliver operational handoffs including runbooks, evaluations, dashboards, and production support practices.
• Establish reusable platform capabilities and improve the quality of AI-generated code through rigorous review.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production backend or full-stack systems.
• Experience independently delivering high-ambiguity projects end to end.
• Hands-on cloud experience, preferably GCP, including containerized services, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and serverless systems.
• Daily fluency with agentic coding tools and experience building LLM-powered applications or agentic workflows.
• Strong judgment for reviewing, hardening, and productionizing AI-generated code, plus clear communication with non-engineering partners.
• Experience in regulated industries, especially finance or fintech, is strongly preferred.
