Senior Product Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Coppell, Texas, United States, with 8 office days per month; Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is also listed as a location. Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a hirify.global office during the recruitment process.

Salary: $92,700–$161,850 USD annually, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Co-design AI solutions with customers and build human-centric features that address real accounting professionals’ problems and deliver measurable value.
• Develop AI features using Python and modern frameworks, including intelligent document processing, automated workflows, and AI-powered analytics.
• Work across the Tax and Accounting product portfolio to enable other teams and apply AI solutions to multiple products and customer segments.
• Design for security, product experience, and scalability while working in fast feedback cycles.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, UX designers, and researchers using Agile and XP practices, weekly sprints, BDD/TDD, and pair programming.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building software applications, with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript experience preferred.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with LLMs or AI systems; NLP experience is preferred.
• Full-stack development capabilities.
• Experience with Agile/XP practices, including TDD, BDD, and pair programming.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar, and regular use of GenAI utilities such as ChatGPT or Claude in the development workflow.
• 3+ years of experience leading complex technical projects from inception to delivery.
• Experience working in startup-like environments or innovation teams, and comfort working in collaborative, fast-paced Agile environments with weekly sprints and aligned, blurred role boundaries.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks including LangChain, Hugging Face, and OpenAI APIs; experience with vector databases and embeddings; understanding of prompt engineering and AI optimization.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive adoption of new technologies across teams.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Azure AI-102 certification.
• Experience with Azure AI services, advanced AI frameworks, or multimodal AI systems.
• Experience in startups, innovation teams, or product-focused companies emphasizing customer co-design and rapid value delivery.
• Experience with document processing, financial data analysis, or B2B professional software.
• Experience with MLOps, AI governance, or cross-portfolio AI implementations in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
