Lab Director - Claysburg & Altoona, PA

Location: Claysburg and Altoona, Pennsylvania, United States; requires monthly in-person visits to assigned laboratory sites and remote availability for laboratory personnel.

Salary: $125.00–$150.00 per hour

What you will do

• Oversee laboratory operations within primary care offices.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, CMS, FDA, and Pennsylvania Department of Health requirements.
• Review proficiency testing, corrective actions, internal audits, quality assurance plans, and staff competency assessments.
• Review pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic testing documentation for accuracy and reliability.
• Mentor laboratory personnel and provide remote guidance on testing-related questions.
• Review laboratory records monthly and report significant changes to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Requirements

• MD, DO, PhD, or DNP-level education.
• Applicable board certification for the relevant credential.
• Laboratory director qualifications under Pennsylvania Department of Health requirements.
• Ability to complete required monthly in-person site visits in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to oversee laboratory safety, biohazard standards, quality systems, personnel qualifications, and training records.
