Laboratory Supervisor (Clinical Laboratory)

Location: South Plainfield, New Jersey, United States; on-site. Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year for US-based candidates; equity compensation may also be included.

What you will do

• Supervise daily clinical and core laboratory operations, including testing, specimen handling, and workflow coordination.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, Joint Commission, and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Manage quality control, quality assurance, proficiency testing, and laboratory performance metrics.
• Oversee scheduling, workload distribution, performance management, training, and competency documentation for laboratory staff.
• Investigate testing anomalies, equipment malfunctions, and non-conformances, documenting corrective actions.
• Support SOP updates, instrument validation, method verification, new assay implementation, inventory management, and equipment servicing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of clinical laboratory experience, preferably in chemistry and/or hematology.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or lead technologist experience.
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and data analysis tools.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Experience with Hamilton, Sysmex, and Roche core laboratory analyzers is preferred.
