Location: Clinic-based position in Sierra Vista, Arizona; 20 hours per week

What you will do

  • Perform venipunctures and collect blood specimens using aseptic techniques and clinical protocols.
  • Verify patient identities, requisitions, and EMR records while maintaining specimen integrity and accurate collection logs.
  • Coordinate appointments, blood draw schedules, patient care services, and testing workflows.
  • Collaborate with Field Sales and internal operations teams to resolve missing information and support timely reporting.
  • Document communications, investigate escalated issues, communicate delays or cancellations, and coordinate sample redraws.
  • Maintain quality control records and identify process improvements while following CAP, CLIA, and healthcare regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–7 years of phlebotomy experience, including required oncology experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA degree preferred.
  • Phlebotomy Certificate as required by state regulations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and independent-working skills.
  • Ability to work in an office-based clinic, wear scrubs, follow safe blood-draw practices, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Successful completion of clinic-specific pre-employment and compliance requirements is required, including applicable screenings, licensure verification, immunization or TB documentation, physical examination, and onboarding training.
