Backend Engineer (Rust/Go)

Location: United States; remote role

Salary: $160,650–$217,350 annual base compensation for most US locations, with 5%–10% higher compensation in higher-cost US locations.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and operate significant areas of routing services.
• Solve complex routing scenarios that lack effective existing solutions.
• Develop customizable routing experiences for automotive manufacturers and specialized customers.
• Build tools that enable new mapping and navigation solutions.
• Operate distributed navigation services across AWS infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building large-scale, high-volume, low-latency backend services.
• 3+ years of experience engineering Rust- or Go-based solutions in a commercial or open-source environment.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and IAM.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of operating systems and distributed systems, including fault tolerance, consistency, and service discovery.
• US work authorization is verified through E-Verify.
