Salary: $164,000–$246,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Develop fuel and oxidizer turbopump assemblies for the Aeon-R engine family.
  • Support the design, development, testing, and analysis of turbomachinery throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with propulsion development, manufacturing, test, launch, and integration teams.
  • Incorporate test and manufacturing improvements into future turbopump designs.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex turbomachinery operational issues.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or related technical qualification with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of turbomachinery design, analysis practices, and fundamental principles.
  • Ability to perform basic structural, thermal, and/or fluid analysis.
  • Knowledge of turbopump assembly procedures, including rotor balancing, interference fits, clearance checks, structural proofing, and leak checks.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to independently drive projects to completion.
  • Experience working effectively in multidisciplinary aerospace or similarly fast-paced technical environments.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience with bladed CFD, structural, modal, or rotordynamics analyses.
  • Experience designing bladed turbopump components such as inducers, impellers, or turbines.
  • Startup or agile development experience.
  • Experience working on a flight development program.
