What you will do
- Develop fuel and oxidizer turbopump assemblies for the Aeon-R engine family.
- Support the design, development, testing, and analysis of turbomachinery throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with propulsion development, manufacturing, test, launch, and integration teams.
- Incorporate test and manufacturing improvements into future turbopump designs.
- Diagnose and resolve complex turbomachinery operational issues.
Requirements
- Engineering degree or related technical qualification with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Knowledge of turbomachinery design, analysis practices, and fundamental principles.
- Ability to perform basic structural, thermal, and/or fluid analysis.
- Knowledge of turbopump assembly procedures, including rotor balancing, interference fits, clearance checks, structural proofing, and leak checks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to independently drive projects to completion.
- Experience working effectively in multidisciplinary aerospace or similarly fast-paced technical environments.
Nice to have
- Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
- Experience with bladed CFD, structural, modal, or rotordynamics analyses.
- Experience designing bladed turbopump components such as inducers, impellers, or turbines.
- Startup or agile development experience.
- Experience working on a flight development program.
