Salary: $115,200–$172,800 USD base pay per year.

What you will do

  • Create analytical models for systems, subassemblies, and individual parts.
  • Perform structural, thermal, vibration, fatigue, fracture, and other multiphysics analyses.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to finalize hardware that meets vehicle requirements.
  • Document analysis inputs, methods, and results for hardware reviews and qualification.
  • Support stage, engine, and subsystem testing through data review and technical recommendations.
  • Develop standard structural-analysis practices and guide the engineering team on high-value analyses and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant aerospace analysis experience for the Structural Analyst II level, or 5+ years for the Senior Structural Analyst I level.
  • Strong foundation or mastery in thermal, structural, vibration, and life-assessment analysis.
  • Knowledge of ductile and brittle material failure theories.
  • Experience with finite element analysis using commercial software.
  • Proficiency in Python, Matlab, VBA, and/or C++.

Nice to have

  • Graduate degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience with ANSYS Workbench, NASGRO, liquid engine qualification, or NASA structural standards.
  • Experience analyzing rocket engine combustion devices and turbopump components.
  • Experience supporting failure investigations or working with additively manufactured materials.
