Salary: $115,200–$172,800 USD base pay per year.

What you will do
- Create analytical models for systems, subassemblies, and individual parts.
- Perform structural, thermal, vibration, fatigue, fracture, and other multiphysics analyses.
- Collaborate with design engineers to finalize hardware that meets vehicle requirements.
- Document analysis inputs, methods, and results for hardware reviews and qualification.
- Support stage, engine, and subsystem testing through data review and technical recommendations.
- Develop standard structural-analysis practices and guide the engineering team on high-value analyses and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant aerospace analysis experience for the Structural Analyst II level, or 5+ years for the Senior Structural Analyst I level.
- Strong foundation or mastery in thermal, structural, vibration, and life-assessment analysis.
- Knowledge of ductile and brittle material failure theories.
- Experience with finite element analysis using commercial software.
- Proficiency in Python, Matlab, VBA, and/or C++.
Nice to have
- Graduate degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience with ANSYS Workbench, NASGRO, liquid engine qualification, or NASA structural standards.
- Experience analyzing rocket engine combustion devices and turbopump components.
- Experience supporting failure investigations or working with additively manufactured materials.
