What you will do

  • Develop fuel and oxidizer turbopump assemblies for the Aeon-R engine family.
  • Collaborate with propulsion development and manufacturing teams to improve future designs.
  • Perform basic structural, thermal, and fluid analyses of turbomachinery.
  • Support turbopump assembly procedures, including rotor balancing, interference fits, clearance checks, structural proofing, and leak checks.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex turbomachinery operational issues.
  • Drive projects through design, development, analysis, testing, and iteration across the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering or a related technical field and 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of turbomachinery design, analysis practices, and fundamentals.
  • Ability to perform basic structural, thermal, and/or fluid analysis.
  • Knowledge of turbopump assembly procedures.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex turbomachinery operational issues.
  • Strong communication skills and effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience with bladed CFD, structural, modal, or rotordynamics analyses.
  • Experience designing inducers, impellers, or turbine components for bladed turbopumps.
  • Experience in a startup or agile development environment.
  • Experience working in a flight development program.
