Senior Propulsion Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $140,000–$195,000 per year

What you will do

• Own engine design from concept through product realization for the Deneb propulsion system.
• Design propulsion engine components and layouts for the approximately 15,000 lb-thrust ox-rich combustion engine.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using GD&T.
• Perform fluid, thermal, and structural analyses as required.
• Coordinate materials procurement, part fabrication, assembly, and hardware testing with internal and external partners.
• Resolve technical issues with innovative and resourceful engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with flight propulsion components in high-pressure and high-performance applications.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with fluid, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency creating engineering drawings and 3D CAD models with GD&T according to ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with requirements definition, conceptual design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, and testing of hardware.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an applicable U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR regulations.

• Experience with in-space propulsion components and Siemens NX.
• Strong project management and technical communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
