What you will do

  • Develop fuel and oxidizer turbopump assemblies for the Aeon-R engine family.
  • Perform or support structural, thermal, and fluid analyses of turbomachinery.
  • Collaborate with propulsion development, manufacturing, testing, launch, and integration teams.
  • Drive projects from design and development through completion.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex turbomachinery operational issues.
  • Support the development and maturation of reusable rocket engine systems for Terran R.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or related technical qualification with 12+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of turbomachinery design, analysis practices, and fundamental principles.
  • Knowledge of turbopump assembly procedures, including rotor balancing, interference fits, clearance checks, structural proofing, and leak checks.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex turbomachinery operational issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and complete projects in an ambiguous, fast-paced aerospace environment.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience with bladed CFD, structural, modal, or rotordynamics analyses.
  • Experience designing inducers, impellers, or turbine components for bladed turbopumps.
  • Experience in a startup or agile development environment.
  • Experience working on a flight development program.
