Salary: $140,000–$215,000 USD per year

What you will do
- Analyze turbomachinery static components for structural margins across operating conditions and transients.
- Size components to provide adequate strength and robustness.
- Select materials while balancing performance, lead time, and cost.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define clearances for rotating turbomachinery.
- Influence turbomachinery system architecture and design decisions as an early team member.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- At least 3 years of structural analysis experience.
- Experience with commercial FEA tools such as Ansys, Nastran, or Abaqus.
- Experience with high-temperature components and materials.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence is required for work authorization.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience selecting high-temperature metals.
- Knowledge of casting or forging processes.
- Experience with supercritical CO2.
