TL;DR
IT Engineer (Aerospace) (Systems, Networks, and Cloud Infrastructure): Designing, administering, and optimizing Apex’s systems, networks, endpoints, and cloud infrastructure with an accent on Windows and Linux environments, enterprise networking, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and cybersecurity. Focus on building and managing physical and virtual servers, automating administration with PowerShell, Bash, and Python, and delivering complex infrastructure projects with minimal operational impact.
Location: Full-time onsite in Playa Vista, Los Angeles, California, USA; US citizenship required

What you will do
- Design, implement, administer, and optimize systems, servers, endpoints, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
- Build, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers throughout their lifecycle.
- Manage Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux environments, including multiple Linux distributions.
- Design and operate LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, routing, switching, firewall, and network policy environments.
- Administer Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Entra ID, Intune, Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
- Develop automation and administrative scripts, lead infrastructure projects, provide Tier 3 support, and document technical solutions.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of progressive hands-on experience in IT engineering, systems administration, network engineering, or a related discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Strong experience with server deployment, administration, troubleshooting, networking, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS, including AWS GovCloud environments.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripting.
- US citizenship and full-time onsite work in Playa Vista, Los Angeles are required.
