TL;DR
Systems Operations Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure/Systems Operations): Supporting the deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and security of server, storage, and cloud infrastructure across production and non-production environments with an accent on automation, incident response, and platform reliability. Focus on troubleshooting infrastructure issues, maintaining operational documentation, supporting backup and disaster recovery procedures, and improving systems through scripting and infrastructure management.
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, US. Applicants must be legally authorized to reside and work in the hiring country; international relocation and remote work outside the US are not considered.

What you will do
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and support server, storage, cloud, and other infrastructure across production and non-production environments.
- Monitor system performance, investigate issues, support incident response, and escalate problems to maintain availability and SLA adherence.
- Maintain scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and routine systems operations.
- Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, patching, upgrades, capacity reviews, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
- Maintain runbooks, system documentation, and operational standards.
- Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Network Engineering, and Application teams while participating in Agile or SAFe delivery cycles and on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in systems administration, operations, or a related technical role.
- Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server administration and exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Beginner-to-intermediate scripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Familiarity with Docker, Git-based version control, monitoring or observability tools, and incident or ticket-based troubleshooting.
- Foundational networking knowledge, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and routing.
- Current legal authorization to reside and work in the US is required; immigration sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Exposure to Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps, Agile, or SAFe practices.
- Experience with identity management, enterprise authentication, and enterprise networking concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Entry-level technical certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, Network+, Azure Fundamentals, or AWS Cloud Practitioner.
