Commercial Contracts Counsel (Life Sciences)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed as US-MA-Remote Location

Salary: $163,600–$273,519 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead negotiations for complex clinical supply, commercial supply, manufacturing, service, quality, development, collaboration, and strategic partnership agreements.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret high-value commercial, procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing contracts.
• Develop negotiation strategies that balance business objectives, legal risk, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
• Advise business stakeholders on contractual risk, liability, intellectual property, confidentiality, data privacy, quality, regulatory obligations, and commercial terms.
• Support strategic transactions, growth initiatives, dispute resolution, contract interpretation, and continuous improvements to contracting processes.
• Help optimize contract lifecycle management tools, develop playbooks and templates, and mentor colleagues as a subject matter expert.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• At least 8 years of combined law firm and in-house legal experience, including significant complex commercial contract negotiation.
• Experience supporting life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, diagnostics, or related industries.
• Direct experience with a pharmaceutical CDMO, pharmaceutical manufacturer, biotechnology company, or equivalent organization.
• Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing, development, commercial supply, supplier, technology transfer, quality, procurement, or related life sciences agreements.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States.
