TL;DR
Software Engineer, Education (Fullstack/AI): Building education-focused product experiences, backend services, integrations, automation, and user-facing features across Autodesk platforms with an accent on AI/ML integration, CAD platform tooling, and scalable product infrastructure. Focus on moving prototypes into production, developing reproducible experiments, integrating CI/CD and containerized deployments, and solving ambiguous problems with cross-functional teams.

What you will do
- Build backend services, APIs, integrations, and product infrastructure for education-focused experiences.
- Move prototypes from exploration to production, balancing delivery speed, quality, maintainability, and user impact.
- Integrate and productize ML/AI solutions with digital experience and platform engineering teams.
- Develop automation, plugins, and SDKs for CAD platforms including Fusion, Revit, 3DS Max, and Maya.
- Contribute to frontend integrations, data pipelines, service orchestration, experimentation tooling, and internal workflows.
- Maintain CI/CD systems, Docker deployments, observability, reliability, testing, documentation, and code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent.
- Strong full-stack development experience with frontend familiarity in JavaScript and React/Next.js.
- Experience using Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and maintainable, testable code practices.
- Ability to use AI coding tools and collaborate with product, design, research, ML, and platform teams.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in a distributed team.
Nice to have
- Production experience with Python and/or C++.
- Experience with CAD or 3D geometry systems, including meshes, B-Reps, geometry kernels, or CAD plugins.
- Experience with AWS and deploying or monitoring cloud services.
- Knowledge of scalable software architecture and design patterns.
- Experience translating research ideas and ambiguous product concepts into production implementations, especially in education environments.
