IT Network Engineer II - 936

Location: Broomfield, Colorado, United States; on-site at the assigned location, with approval for remote work up to 2 days per week. Travel to U.S. sites and occasionally to Asia-Pacific and the U.K. may be required.

Salary: $86,000–$108,000 annually.

What you will do

• Install, rack, cable, configure, monitor, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and other network devices.
• Respond to network alerts, outages, service disruptions, after-hours events, and escalated support issues.
• Support vulnerability assessments and implement network security improvements.
• Maintain accurate network configuration and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on network upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and enterprise-wide changes.
• Travel to other sites to support project delivery, provide oversight, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent formal training.
• 3–5 years of experience in network engineering or enterprise network and switch infrastructure support.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting firewall hardware and software with a global footprint.
• At least 3 years of experience with Layer 2 switching, including VLANs, trunking, and port configuration.
• At least 3 years of experience physically installing network devices, patch panels, and network cabling.
• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or a worker granted asylum or refugee status. Candidates must not be nationals of the People’s Republic of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen.

Nice to have

• Relevant network certifications.
• Experience with public cloud providers such as Azure or AWS and internet service providers.
• Experience configuring Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto, and similar network devices.
• Experience with SolarWinds, Wireshark, SNMP, network scripting, and automation using Python or Perl.
