Location: Bothell, Washington, United States; College Park, Maryland, United States; or remote within the United States. Hybrid and remote options are available for the right candidate. Travel: 25–40% domestic or international.
Salary: $126,887–$166,127 base salary annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do
- Oversee the implementation, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of global LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, firewall, switching, routing, and load-balancing infrastructure.
- Manage network hardware, software vendors, procurement, configuration standards, documentation, and 24/7 critical-issue on-call coverage.
- Lead network and identity integration roadmaps for newly acquired subsidiaries and deliver repeatable site deployment blueprints for office expansions and buildouts.
- Drive Zero Trust architecture, network segmentation, IAM alignment, cloud directory migrations, managed-device strategies, and Conditional Access policies.
- Maintain secure network boundaries for controlled unclassified information, ITAR-regulated technology, and ’s quantum computing resources.
- Mentor junior administrators, Help Desk staff, and contractor teams while coordinating escalations with internal stakeholders, subsidiary IT leads, and vendors.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in network engineering and administration, including 3–5 years in leadership, project management, or operations management for multi-site or complex corporate environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, enterprise firewalls, secure VPN tunneling, and access control lists.
- Practical experience with SOC 2 Type II or CMMC-regulated network environments and familiarity with NIST SP 800-171.
- Experience with cloud identity platforms such as JumpCloud or Okta, Conditional Access, and migrations from on-premises Active Directory.
- Ability to work in the United States, participate in an after-hours on-call rotation, and travel occasionally to domestic or international sites. Access to export-controlled technology may require U.S. Person status, an applicable license, or a license exception.
Nice to have
- CCNP, PCNSE, NSE 4–7, or other relevant advanced industry certification.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, deep tech, or other high-security industries.
- Experience with cloud-native networking on Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
- Knowledge of Python, Ansible, or other network automation tools.
