Network Engineer Advanced

Location: Lincolnshire, Illinois, United States. Up to 10% global or domestic travel is required.

Salary: $108,960–$163,440 annual, plus a target annual cash incentive of 12% of base pay.

What you will do

• Lead research, design, planning, and implementation of enterprise network and network security architecture.
• Evaluate technologies, conduct proof-of-concept testing, and establish standards for LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, and related devices.
• Lead network assessments and integration planning for mergers and acquisitions.
• Design resilient infrastructure for disaster recovery and cyber recovery exercises while maintaining security and compliance.
• Provide Level 3 escalation support, advanced troubleshooting, post-incident analysis, and on-call participation.
• Manage network upgrade projects, create HLDs, LLDs, SOPs, and knowledge base content, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise network engineering, network security, and infrastructure architecture.
• Experience working in a large, complex, global IT environment.
• Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN switching, cloud networking, secure routing, cryptography, and zero-trust concepts.
• Deep experience with Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, and Branch Connectors; Cisco Nexus Dashboard; HPE Mist; Cisco Meraki; Cisco Enterprise Wireless; and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Active PCNSE or PCNSA certification is required.

Nice to have

• CCNP or CCIE in Enterprise or Data Center.
• JNCIP-MistAI, ZDTE, CISSP, or PCNSE certification.
