TL;DR
Cost Management Analyst (Manufacturing Finance): Supporting financial analysis and cost management for Toyota's San Antonio plant with an accent on budgeting, cost reporting, financial close, and manufacturing variance analysis. Focus on developing standard costs, analyzing actual-versus-budget performance, coordinating cost-reduction activities, and reconciling financial and inventory data.
Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; support may overlap with Region 4 locations in California and Mexico. Relocation assistance may be available.

What you will do
- Provide cost leadership for plant management through budget coordination, cost reporting, financial analysis, and ad hoc cost support.
- Support monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial close activities, including journal entries and variance analysis.
- Analyze actual costs against budgets, forecasts, and ideal cost-planning targets.
- Support plant operations by reviewing and routing operating requests.
- Conduct cost-lead activities, go-and-see reviews, cost-reduction reporting, and system reconciliations.
- Support physical inventory activities and audits while contributing to Way initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience, including cost and usage variance analysis and standard cost development.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting monthly close processes.
- At least 3 years of experience budgeting and forecasting manufacturing operating expenses.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including graphing and charting, plus proficiency with Office 365 tools such as Teams and SharePoint.
- Must already have the right to work in the United States; does not provide employment-based visa or work authorization sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree, CPA, or CMA.
- Experience with SAP Financials, BPC Planning for SAP, Power BI, Power Automate, or other automation tools.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing, Accounting & Finance, inventory accounting, count audits, and reconciliation.
- Way experience, including TBP, JKK, or PDCA, plus presentation and PowerPoint skills.
