Cost Accountant (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Prepare financial reporting, forecasts, cost analyses, and performance metrics for a manufacturing operation.
• Maintain product costing in SAP and support the annual cost roll process.
• Analyze material costs, inventory valuation, excess and slow-moving inventory, and manufacturing variances.
• Partner with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance to investigate variances and improve reporting accuracy.
• Prepare reports for plant leadership and global headquarters, and support internal and external audits.
• Use SAP, Alteryx, Tableau, and Microsoft Excel to automate reporting and improve financial visibility and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, financial analysis, or a related finance role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory accounting, manufacturing costing, financial reporting, forecasting, and ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and manage multiple priorities.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization is required.
