Architect, Modern Platforms Cloud Infrastructure

What you will do

• Design and document highly available, secure, and performant cloud-native architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including assessment, planning, lift-and-shift, replatforming, and application modernization.
• Define cloud adoption frameworks, landing zones, reusable infrastructure patterns, and Infrastructure as Code deployments with Terraform and related tools.
• Build automated CI/CD, auto-scaling, monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using cloud-native services and platform engineering practices.
• Establish governance, identity, encryption, network security, compliance, FinOps, performance optimization, and operational reliability practices.
• Advise business and technology leaders, lead discovery and design sessions, present roadmaps, and mentor engineering and development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
• 5+ years of client-facing consulting experience in enterprise cloud and on-premises architecture strategy and delivery.
• 5+ years of IT experience with hands-on cloud engineering or architecture experience using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Deep knowledge of IaaS/PaaS, virtualization, cloud-native services, cloud networking, containers, Kubernetes, and service meshes.
• Proficiency in Terraform, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps, and scripting with Python or Bash.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud governance frameworks, security controls, hybrid and multicloud strategies, agile methodologies, and DevSecOps.
• Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, GPU-backed compute, AI/ML pipelines, vector databases, and LLM deployment on cloud platforms.
• Experience leading engineering workshops and influencing cloud adoption strategies.
