Senior Software Architect, Platform Engineering (Cybersecurity)

Location: San Jose, California, USA; hybrid with on-site work three days a week

Base salary: $245,000–$350,000 USD per year, excluding commission, bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for the design, development, and optimization of the Identity platform.
• Shape product growth and expansion strategies with a focus on cost-effective engineering.
• Spearhead the technical roadmap for the Kubernetes platform and architect centralized identity and access management solutions.
• Develop enterprise-grade Identity Management Products for hirify.global using hands-on architecture and engineering expertise.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance support for the Common Identity platform.
• Drive professional development and growth initiatives for team members.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in application architecture and development using Java.
• Experience developing enterprise-grade security or networking products, with expert knowledge of Enterprise Java, OOP, OOA, systems architecture, RESTful APIs, Hibernate, and Spring.
• Expert knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, container infrastructure, and orchestration of massive-scale Kubernetes clusters in AWS and GCP.
• Expertise designing secure, highly automated CI/CD pipelines using approaches and tools such as GitOps, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Experience with zero-downtime deployments, including blue/green and canary strategies, global server load balancing, L4/L7 cloud load balancers, and Kubernetes ingress controllers such as Envoy, NGINX, or Traefik.
• Basic understanding of PKI and identity and access management protocols, including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect, plus foundational AI/ML knowledge.
