Platform Architect (Cybersecurity) - UK

Location: UK; remote work available. The role includes travel to customer sites for kickoffs, critical escalations, and team offsites as needed.

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and operate Kubernetes clusters, networking, and identity/security configurations in customer cloud environments.
• Write and ship Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code, configure cloud networking, and troubleshoot production workloads.
• Own technically complex engagements from early sales-cycle discussions and proof-of-value builds through production go-live and handoff to Customer Success.
• Serve as the technical authority for R&D, sales, and customer stakeholders, explaining architecture and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Resolve ambiguous, high-stakes customer problems independently and document lessons learned for Platform Architects and Forward Deployed Engineers.
• Travel to customer sites for kickoffs, critical escalations, and team offsites.

Requirements

• Hands-on Kubernetes experience at real workload depth, including manifests, Helm charts, pod and deployment design, ConfigMaps, Secrets, probes, resource limits, services, ingress, and live troubleshooting.
• Personally written and shipped Terraform or equivalent infrastructure as code.
• Deep experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with cloud networking, identity, and security configuration, including VPCs, peering, private connectivity, and IAM.
• Demonstrated outcomes such as improved uptime, reduced costs, shorter deployment times, or increased scale, plus strong customer-facing technical communication.
• Availability for a hyper-growth environment, customer travel, and after-hours work during critical windows.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated or government environments, including FedRAMP, DoD, or an active or recent security clearance.
• Forward-deployed engineering, professional services, or field engineering experience.
