TL;DR
Associate Manufacturing Technician (Medical Device Manufacturing): Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated equipment used to manufacture wearable diabetes-management devices with an accent on mechanical troubleshooting, process control, and product quality. Focus on clearing equipment faults, performing preventative maintenance, supporting validation and process development, and maintaining GMP-compliant cleanroom production.

Location: US - Massachusetts; onsite manufacturing plant work required. Weekend night shift.

Salary: $18.16–$27.24 annual base salary, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

  • Operate, maintain, and perform basic repairs on highly automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Clear equipment faults and stoppages, maintain raw material feeds, and use HMIs to identify process-control issues.
  • Perform inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and routine preventative maintenance while generating work orders when needed.
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical, safety, and production-process issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support material inventory, quality management, new product design transfer, equipment validations, and process validations.
  • Follow specifications, work orders, SOPs, packaging and shipment procedures, and GMP requirements in a cleanroom environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient English required for reading documentation, communication, and writing.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial machines, tools, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, measurement instruments, production processes, and quality control.
  • Problem-solving skills, including understanding of root cause analysis concepts.
  • Ability to stand for at least 75% of each shift, walk for at least 50%, and lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.

Nice to have

  • Previous cleanroom experience.
  • Experience debugging and optimizing assembly processes.
  • Experience in a startup production environment.
  • Manufacturing experience in a regulated industry.
