Manufacturing Technician III, Mechanic - Device Assembly (Days)

Location: USA - OH - West Chester; onsite day shift, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM on a 2-2-3 schedule

Salary: $24.00–$38.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, set up, change over, repair, and maintain packaging equipment including pickers, sorters, labelers, packers, checkweighers, printers, inspection equipment, palletizers, stretch wrappers, and conveyors.
• Provide first-line technical support for equipment start-up, recipe selection and setup, sensor challenges, and production issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, investigate abnormal conditions, and help prevent unplanned equipment downtime.
• Execute technician activities including batch execution, material handling, inspection, cleaning, housekeeping, and line clearance.
• Complete batch records, GMP documentation, CMMS entries, equipment qualification protocols, and process validation activities.
• Support Lean, 5S, OEE tracking, Level 0 problem-solving, continuous improvement, and on-the-job training for packaging technicians.

Requirements

• Experience maintaining and supporting equipment performance in a regulated production environment.
• Ability to understand, read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment change parts, tooling, and maintenance materials.
• Strong mechanical and electronic knowledge, with the ability to interpret technical documents and work safely with PPE, LOTO, chemicals, and material-handling equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, adapt to a changing and demanding environment, learn new skills, and work occasional overtime.

Nice to have

• High school, vocational, or equivalent education; an associate degree in engineering or mechanical trade school training is preferred.
• At least three years of regulated production experience focused on equipment maintenance and performance.
• Experience with automated equipment, mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, SAP or another CMMS, OEE, TPM, Lean, or continuous improvement methodologies.
