Salary: $104,000–$156,000 USD annually

hirify.global develops the Terran R launch vehicle, rocket manufacturing infrastructure, and related aerospace systems.

What you will do

  • Own one or more test systems or test campaigns supporting Terran R component development.
  • Design mechanical, fluid, and electrical components for automated test systems.
  • Commission new test assets and systems.
  • Complete, present, and review fault tolerance analyses.
  • Plan and execute test campaigns in collaboration with component design and other departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of fluid and thermodynamic first principles.
  • Experience designing systems to engineering requirements.
  • Working knowledge of systems operations.
  • Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to audiences with varied backgrounds.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Long Beach, California facility, including away from a desk and potentially at heights, in confined spaces, or in dirty environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience writing sequences or other software.
  • Familiarity with cryogenics.
  • Understanding of structural design principles.
  • Experience delivering systems compliant with ASME B31.3 and BPVC.
  • Previous aerospace experience is not required.
