What you will do

  • Own thermal management system design from concept through production, vehicle integration, flight qualification, and flight.
  • Architect thermal systems and develop one-dimensional fluid network models for system behavior, transient response, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Design and size pumps, heat exchangers, valves, regulators, and other fluid-system components.
  • Analyze heat loads, conduction paths, and interface temperatures using hand calculations, CFD, and computational tools.
  • Generate CAD models and detailed engineering drawings, apply GD&T, and lead design reviews.
  • Build prototypes, establish test procedures, analyze test data, verify requirements, and diagnose thermal system issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in propulsion or similarly complex thermal environments.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX CAD modeling, drawing generation, and GD&T.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid behavior.
  • Experience with CFD and one-dimensional thermal or fluid network modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation types and limitations, with the ability to anchor models using test data.
  • Initiative, flexibility in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and a high standard of quality.
