What you will do

  • Design fluid systems for cryogenics, hydraulics, fuels, high-pressure gases, and HVAC.
  • Create 2D and 3D models using CAD software, primarily NX.
  • Perform system sizing and analysis using hand calculations and numerical methods.
  • Generate and maintain P&IDs, connection diagrams, component selections, and bills of materials.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, technicians, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Support launch pad fluid-system certification and maintenance-program development.

Requirements

  • ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • For Engineer II: 2+ years of directly applicable design, testing, or operations experience in aerospace or industrial sectors.
  • For Senior Engineer I: 5+ years of directly applicable design, testing, or operations experience in aerospace or industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of fluid systems, sizing calculations, and P&IDs.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, including NX or SolidWorks.
  • For U.S. office work, candidates must meet applicable ITAR authorization requirements, such as U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorization.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
  • Professional Engineer license and experience with piping systems, launch pads, engine test stands, or rocket and payload conditioning systems.
  • Experience with oxygen equipment, nodal analysis tools such as GFSSP or AFT, or pipe stress software such as Caesar II.
  • Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, NFPA, or NASA ground-system standards.
  • Ability to mentor entry-level engineers and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
