Electronic Security Senior Project Manager (ESS)

Location: USA; frequent local travel to client sites is required, typically within a 2-hour driving distance, with occasional air travel. Up to 25% travel is required, and construction-site work may involve standing, ladders, stairs, lifting up to 20 pounds, and required PPE.

What you will do

• Lead the delivery of large-scale electronic and physical security system projects from initiation through closure.
• Manage scope, schedules, baselines, budgets, costs, margins, quality, risks, and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate internal teams, site supervisors, general contractors, clients, and other stakeholders throughout implementation.
• Oversee field verification, design reviews, system programming, testing, commissioning, documentation, and final checkout.
• Manage construction-related risks, punch lists, project turnover, client training, and service-team handover.
• Build long-term client relationships and communicate project status, impacts, and solutions to stakeholders and executive leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction trades or electronic security systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering waterfall schedules to fixed dates while maintaining quality and profitability.
• Strong understanding of PMP methodologies, with the ability to apply Agile methods within waterfall programs.
• Client-facing experience, technical aptitude, enterprise-client experience, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and willingness to travel up to 25% are required.

Nice to have

• Experience managing large, complex technical projects within an at-scale program.
• Electronic Security Systems experience.
• Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) certification.
• PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
