Data Center Engineer

Location: Ohio, covering the Solon area; regular local travel is approximately 75% of the time, with occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Maintain the integrity and operational readiness of global data centers.
• Rack and cable servers, network infrastructure, and other equipment.
• Monitor environmental conditions and maintain optimal air-conditioning and power conditions.
• Maintain architecture, procedures, and operational records in the DCIM tool.
• Participate in expansion planning and establish operational standards for data centers.
• Perform Windows and Linux server administration and support other regions as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on data center engineering experience.
• Previous experience with network infrastructure cabling.
• Familiarity with HP, IBM, and Dell servers, blades, SAN, and Cisco equipment.
• Experience working with backup software and hands-on Windows and Linux server administration.
• Strong documentation, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors; a valid driver’s license is required.
