DC Ops Technician III - US (Data Center Operations)

Location: Onsite in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, United States; Wednesday through Sunday, 7:30am–4:30pm

Salary: $52,015.00–$76,250.90 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience

What you will do

• Monitor and prioritize internal tickets while providing customer support.
• Troubleshoot operating systems, storage, hardware, and connectivity issues.
• Upgrade and support servers running Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu Linux, and VMware ESX Server.
• Perform operating system installations, network IP setup, firmware updates, and basic administration.
• Install, remove, and test fiber and copper cabling, including Layer 1 connectivity troubleshooting.
• Install and modify network, storage, and security hardware, including switches, firewalls, load balancers, DAS, and NAS arrays.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience working in a data center environment.
• Ability to build, repair, and upgrade hardware components.
• Strong understanding of storage RAID configurations and requirements.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds overhead.
