GIS Analyst (Geospatial)

Location: Remote from the UK, primarily home based, with travel to and work at UK sites and occasional customer site visits required based on business need.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for geospatial products, responding to customer enquiries and resolving complex issues.
• Deliver GIS consultancy, including creating, maintaining, and administering customer databases on-site and in the cloud.
• Manage database administration tasks such as backups, monitoring, alerts, and data recovery.
• Create technical documentation and deliver online or on-premises customer training.
• Contribute to data analysis and scenario modelling for emergency services clients.
• Collaborate with customers and internal technical teams to improve service delivery, products, systems, and processes.

Requirements

• Degree-level background in geospatial studies or a related discipline, with relevant professional experience.
• Experience providing technical customer support across multiple products and working in a service desk environment.
• Experience escalating and handing off complex issues to other technical teams and management.
• Experience with analytical and statistical data modelling.
• Good knowledge of relational database management systems, such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and customer relationship skills.
