Geospatial Data Analyst (Satellite Analytics)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work from the Berlin office. Candidates must live in Berlin or be willing to relocate.

What you will do

• Analyze, validate, and interpret geospatial and satellite data across customer projects.
• Own analytics deliveries and ensure high technical quality, accuracy, and reliability.
• Investigate data and pipeline issues, identify root causes, and communicate findings to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, Operations Support, Product, and Engineering teams to resolve delivery issues.
• Build an end-to-end understanding of analytics pipelines and identify efficiency and quality improvements.
• Use AI coding and analysis tools such as Claude or Cursor for validation, debugging, and analysis while critically verifying their output.

Requirements

• Degree in geoinformatics, remote sensing, geography, computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or another quantitative or technical field.
• Hands-on experience with geospatial data and GIS tools, ideally QGIS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, ownership, self-management, and communication skills.
• Comfort using AI coding and analysis tools and independently validating their results.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Collaborative work style with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Python, SQL, remote sensing, or Earth Observation experience.
• Experience with geodatabases, large-scale data management, AWS, or other cloud infrastructure.
• Machine learning, deep learning, or software engineering experience.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect.
