What you will do

• Design and maintain efficient ELT pipelines using dbt to transform raw data into clean models.
• Implement best-practice data modeling and software engineering techniques, including CI/CD and testing.
• Develop comprehensive data quality checks and monitoring scripts to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with analysts and business users to optimize data models for specific analytical use cases.
• Tune SQL queries and data models to improve warehouse performance and reduce latency.
• Build scalable, compelling data visualizations in Looker for large teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a data-focused role such as Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, or BI Developer.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and ETL/ELT principles.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Must be based within commuting distance of London or Barcelona.

Nice to have

• Python expertise for automation and orchestration.
• Experience with semantic layers and orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices applied to data.
