What you will do

• Own design studies addressing technical and consumer problems independently and collaboratively.
• Develop concepts from sketches through CAD layouts, 3D models, working prototypes, and verification.
• Apply mechanical engineering fundamentals to create robust real-world product solutions.
• Build and test prototypes in on-site laboratories and convert results into recommendations.
• Collaborate with Product Development teams in the UK and China to move designs toward production.
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented product development process.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in mechanical, product, or industrial design.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo.
• Experience taking real products to market.
• Ability to identify, solve, implement, and verify technical solutions independently while working in a team.
• Comfort working in a hands-on laboratory environment; training is provided.

Nice to have

• Consumer goods or household appliance experience.
• Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering, software, or UX design.
