Autonomous Vehicle Specialist

Location: Grand Rapids, Minnesota, United States — onsite. The role may require occasional travel to other sites, with expected travel of 0–10%.

Salary: $50,000–$55,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Monitor and support autonomous vehicles in real time during operations.
• Ensure each shift follows rigorous safety guidelines and daily operating protocols.
• Track site performance metrics, vehicle health, operational records, and autonomy feedback.
• Address technical issues, test software changes with a focus on safety, and coordinate resolutions with engineering teams.
• Train and coach autonomous vehicle operators through team huddles, video reviews, and ride-alongs.
• Investigate accidents, incident escalations, and customer complaints while representing the technology to the public.

Requirements

• Valid U.S. driver's license required.
• Technical aptitude and ability to learn new software, processes, and company tools.
• Experience taking leadership of processes and driving continuous improvement in a fast-adapting, customer-focused environment.
• Previous experience working at a technology-focused company.
• Experience with Google Workspace applications, including Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
• Ability to make judgment calls in ambiguous situations, communicate effectively, coach others, and maintain strong attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience in a fast-adapting, customer-focused environment.
• Associate degree or higher in Business, Technical Operations, or a related area.
• Experience in operations, logistics, or fleet management.
