Field Application Engineer (Off-Road Vehicles)

Location: Fully onsite at the Irvine, California office with frequent nationwide travel across the United States

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits and equity are included.

What you will do

• Deploy and operate robotic systems, including drones, quadrupeds, wheeled vehicles, and humanoid robots.
• Support field testing, data collection, remote operations, client presentations, and demonstrations.
• Translate technical information between engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document technical issues, test results, and client feedback.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and improve operational workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and usability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the country.
• Ability to work fully onsite from the Irvine, California office.
• An up-to-date passport and valid REAL ID or equivalent travel documentation are preferred and may be required for travel and site access.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with robotics hardware such as off-road vehicles, drones, quadrupeds, or humanoids.
• Familiarity with electronics, sensors, and robotic subsystems.
• Basic coding or scripting skills in Python, C++, or a similar language.
• Experience with field testing, remote operations, or client-facing technical roles.
