Contract Vehicle Operations Specialist (Bilingual Spanish)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; on-site. The role requires significant overseas travel, with more than 25% of time spent in the Middle East and Europe training new safety drivers.

Salary: $28–$40 per hour

What you will do

• Learn and apply knowledge of self-driving technology while operating autonomous vehicle test drives.
• Safely operate test vehicles for up to 8 hours per day and provide feedback that helps improve the autonomous driving system.
• Monitor frequent operational changes and make safety-focused judgment calls.
• Communicate detailed technology feedback and priorities to engineers and managers.
• Represent the company when interacting with self-driving enthusiasts and members of the public.
• Support vehicle washing, garage maintenance, transportation of colleagues, and other ad hoc operational tasks.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an autonomous vehicle safety officer.
• Strong safety-first mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English and Spanish required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record required.
• More than 25% overseas travel to the Middle East and Europe is required for training new safety drivers.
• Flexibility to work in a startup environment and handle both in-vehicle and operational support duties.
