Vehicle Operations Specialist (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; on-site. The role includes significant overseas travel, with more than 25% of time spent in the Middle East and Europe training new safety drivers.

Salary: $28–$40 per hour

What you will do

• Learn and apply an in-depth understanding of self-driving technology.
• Safely operate test vehicles for up to eight hours per day to evaluate and improve autonomous driving systems.
• Monitor frequent operational changes and make consistent safety-focused judgments.
• Provide detailed feedback and communicate technology priorities to engineers and managers.
• Represent the company when interacting with self-driving enthusiasts and members of the public.
• Support vehicle washing, garage maintenance, transportation of colleagues, and other operational tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Two years of experience as an autonomous vehicle safety officer.
• Strong commitment to safety-first operations.
• Fluent English communication skills required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Availability for more than 25% overseas travel to the Middle East and Europe for safety-driver training.
