HVAC Digital Services Technician (HVAC Automation/Controls)

Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada; field-based work at customer locations

Salary: CAD 59,500–106,644.99 annual base salary range; hourly compensation

What you will do

• Install, configure, commission, program, troubleshoot, and service HVAC automation and control systems for air conditioning and chiller equipment.
• Use digital tools, wireless sensors, mobile applications, connected service platforms, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence systems for diagnostics and building optimization.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, system checks, replacements, modifications, and site reconnaissance.
• Capture field data and perform onsite tests to support remote diagnostic teams and implement recommended actions.
• Serve as the direct customer contact, provide technical support and system training, and identify sales leads for account managers.
• Document service activities, materials, parts, costs, and reports in Trane's digital service systems while following safety and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• Technical diploma in building mechanics or industrial automation, or at least five years of HVAC or similar experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills, mathematical aptitude, and reasoning ability.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors and in mechanical rooms, including exposure to extreme temperatures, moving machinery, elevated locations, electrical hazards, noise, and other industrial conditions.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, use hands, speak, listen, and lift or move objects weighing up to and over 40 pounds.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel, overtime, and weekend work.
